Abbey & Andrew – Engagement Session at the StockyardsFort Worth, Texas

Abbey & Andrew started their story in Fort Worth with a chance meeting.  It is Abbey’s hometown and Andrew lived in Fort Worth for work.  Although they only knew each other briefly they kept in touch after Andrew moved on to work in California.  Sometimes though things are just meant to be and as life happened and things changed in Abbey’s life she got a call for a job in California too and moved out West where she later reconnected with Andrew.  Second time was a charm but I have to say that I think they were meant to be after spending an hour with them in front of my camera.  These two are positively perfect together and just full of smiles, laughter and sweetness.  I loved that they were spending the Thanksgiving holiday together – even before they were married!  I was super happy that I got these two to sneak away from the family though for some photos!  And can I just say WOW to Abbey’s gorgeous outfit choice – so on trend and fun with beautiful coloring that just made her look stunning (don’t worry Andrew – you looked great to but can you blame me?) Can’t wait for your wedding next year!

Leigh & Evan – Engagement Portraits at Botanical GardensFort Worth, Texas

Tracy Autem 2015

I have missed engagement sessions!  The summer is so hot that many couples put of portraits until fall temps hit.  Leigh and Evan though were brave and woke up early for a sunrise session with me at the Botanic Gardens of Fort Worth.  It was so worth the early time though for some scrumptious light and some less than 100 degree temps (not going to lie – it was still warm!!)  These two are just adorable.  They have been dating for 3.5 years and will be getting married next April.  I can’t wait!  These two are so sweet together, they have an ease to them that is just so simple and perfect.  I always enjoy watching my couples together as all have unique ways they interact.  Pretty much every time Evan wrapped his arms around Leigh she flashed that killer smile – she is so gorgeous and even more so happy snuggled up next to Evan.  Leigh & Evan are going to have a great wedding!

Lauren & Doug – Mini Engagement Session at Back Door Vintage Books in Fort Worth

Tracy Autem 2015

Sometimes our couples live far away and choose to have engagements done at home.  We get that BUT we also LOVE getting to know our clients, camera in hand, to better prepare them and us for the wedding day.  Getting to know you is so important in helping us create the type of images we are known for – authentic emotional moments.  Lauren & Doug live in New York and had a fun session up there in Central Park but they also understood why getting to know me would help, so we got to planning.  For their mini session we wanted to think a little outside of the box since they already did a session.  Lauren and Doug both love books and she works in the library at an ad agency so we decided to explore a fabulous vintage book store in downtown Fort Worth.  Thank you so much Back Door Books for allowing us into your space for a few minutes to create some fun and funky photos!  I can’t wait to see these two again at Arlington Hall in Dallas next April.

Tiffany & Justin – Engagements with a 47′ Ford Coupe

Engagement Session Grassy Field Classic Car Vintage Car Red Ford Tracy Autem Photography-0008

Tiffany and Justin are getting married this summer at Bass Hall in Fort Worth on the stage!  Yeah, that’s right, you can have your wedding on the stage at Bass Hall.  Pretty cool right?  I think the unique and beautiful backdrop of the stage perfectly fits this couple.  Justin, a entrepreneur in construction also plays bass guitar in a band and travels for gigs when not at home in Fort Worth.  Tiffany is a young and fabulous professional with serious confidence and sass.  This couple compliments one another well and just fit together so nicely.  Tiffany knew she wanted to incorporate a cool old car for their mini engagement shoot and she found the perfect one.  This fabulous 1947 Ford Coupe in a fabulous burgundy red was pretty sweet!  Thanks Chris for letting us use your fabulous car.

See you two in August on the stage!

Erin & John – Mini Engagement in Fort Worth

Tracy Autem & Lightly Photography 2014

Erin & John popped in for a mini engagement session a few weeks ago before their April wedding with me!  I was excited to see Erin again, catch up on all that has happened since we originally met and get to see this couple together in front of my camera.  Sometimes our couples have had engagements done prior to working with us or in another city/state but we still love to hang out with them camera in hand for a short session to get to see their on camera chemistry!  For their first session they had selected very nature inspired locales so for this  mini we headed to one of my favorite classic downtown Fort Worth spots to go with their very city wedding!  The columns of the old post office and the city side walks were perfect and I loved seeing this couple laugh and smile.  See you two in a short while for your wedding at The Modern!

Katie & Nicholas – Mini Engagement Session in Field and Railroad Tracks

Katie and Nicholas are getting married in just a few weeks and with their date creeping up I was excited to finally meet them and get them in front of my camera for a quick mini engagement session.  We headed to a nearby field with railroad tracks for some photo fun!  I loved being with them as they laughed throughout and I can tell how much Nicholas adores his bride to be.  They have known one another since high school and through the years they kept in touch and they eventually were drawn back together.  Definitely a good thing because I just like how they look at one another.  See you two on the 29th!

On the Lightly Photo blog today – Baby Addy, 6 Months & Sitting Pretty

Today on my portrait studio’s site you can see precious Addy’s 6 month portraits.  I loved having the chance to photograph this sweet girl again and to hang out with her parents.  Her Mommy and Daddy were one of my couples a few years ago and I still remember their perfect wedding day.  Their ministers preached like it was a battle (2 ministers = a very long ceremony) and the sunlight outside the chapel as they exited and embraced.  It was a good day and they have continued to have many good days now that they have moved into the next phase of their lives.  To see more about Megan & Austin and little Addy check out the Lightly Photography, Fort Worth Baby Photographer Blog!

Baby Landon {2 Months} by Fort Worth Photographer, Tracy Autem

This week I was excited to hang out with some old friends and their sweet little man, Landon.  He is just a week younger than my Gideon so I of course just loved him and was excited to capture him at this awesome stage.  I think 2 months is so important of a milestone because it is when a baby starts being more reactive.  I love the giggles, funny faces, smirks, smiles and the what are you doing looks that babies all of a sudden become capable of.  I just squealed with glee when I got the shot below of his little grin.  I hope I get to photograph him again and see him grow into a little boy!

Avery {Sitting Pretty} Fall & Halloween Costume Portraits at Fort Worth Botanic Gardens

Tracy Autem Photography Fall Baby Portrait Halloween Costume Fort Worth Botanic Gardens

This little one was my very last session before maternity leave as I couldn’t turn down the chance to see this little smiling face.  Avery is a doll and just smiles, smiles, smiles.  Her Mom and her were in town for a few days and wanted to get a few quick fall portraits and of course Avery as a little chicken.  Mini sessions are ideal for capturing milestones, birthdays or holiday photos.  Last time I saw Avery she was just starting to push up so seeing her sitting pretty was exciting!  Since photographing her Mom & Dad’s wedding almost 2 years ago I have been blessed to document this little one grow.  She made an adorable chicken and is cute as pie.

Emily & Nick {Engaged} Fort Worth Mini Engagement Session

Emily and Nick are super sweet and having an intimate small wedding next month at the Botanic Gardens and Ellerbe Fine Foods.  We got together last week for a mini engagement session so I could get to know them and learn a bit more about their wedding plans.  I love doing small weddings because of the intimacy and closeness between the couple and the guests.  When you can fit every guest into one image it makes for a special day!  I am so looking forward to their day coming up soon!
