Katie and Allen – Engagement Portraits in Fort WorthTrinity Park & Downtown

Katie & Allen are adorable!  They have made their home in Arlington with their two pups that could not be a better reflection of themselves.  They met through mutual friends – best friends that married each other brought these two into each others lives!  Could not be a better way to meet and be sure you have life in common.  Katie & Allen love to adventure and can be found playing top golf or attending a game – especially the Rangers!  After 4 years these two will say I Do this summer at Piazza in The Village and it is going to be one FUN party with DJ Andy Austin there to bring the party!

See you both in a few months!!!

Michelle and Dustin – Engagement Portraits at Eagle Mountain Lake Park and Kimball Art Museum

Tracy Autem Photography 2014 http://tracyautem.com

Michelle and Dustin are as cute as a button!  I could seriously have just photographed them all day but alas the sun set.  🙂  These two and I hit up the Kimball Art Museum and Eagle Mountain Lake Park for their engagement portraits.  I know, two very different location that could not be more perfect for this couple.  Their wedding will be later this year at The Modern and you all know that is one of my absolute favorite venues!  Michelle wore this fab red dress and my favorite color, coral for her second outfit.  Dustin rocked some awesome vests, always a fave of mine as they give so much structure and shape.  See you two soon!

Sarah – Bridal Portraits on Private Property with Horses & Dogs

On the day of Sarah’s bridal portraits earlier this year it was a very rainy, blustery day.  She envisioned outdoor portraits on her parents property accompanied by one of their horses and her doggies.  Well, since we didn’t get the perfect weather then we scheduled a post wedding session to allow Sarah to have her dream photos and I am so glad we did.  The horse was beautiful and such a compliment to her look and feel.  Loved it!  I think these photos are the perfect compliment to the indoor photos we took earlier this year, want to see?  Check them out here.  Sarah I am so glad I had a chance to photograph you again, your wedding was a blessing and I adore you and Michael families and friends.  Can’t wait for the next adventure so I have an excuse to photograph you again.  (Have I mentioned I have the best job – I get to hang out with the most amazing people!)

Jennifer & Perry – Engagement portraits in Weatherford and Chandor Gardens

Jennifer and Perry are getting hitched this coming fall at St Patricks Cathedral in downtown Fort Worth.  We completely hit it off when we met the first time so I was looking forward to hanging out with them at their Engagement.  When Perry walked up he greeted me with a big hug, yep, I like this guy.  I love groom’s that are excited about their wedding, their wife to be and photography!  I also adore that this couple went outside the box, they selected Chandor Gardens for their session.  A definite favorite of mine for bridal portraits but they are my first clients to ever choose it for engagements!  It is an awesome location for any type of photography.  We enjoyed the gardens before heading to a few other spots I like in Weatherford and then got their fur children involved (they have 3 precious doggies).  It was perfect and we finished up right as some storm clouds were rolling in!  Thanks guys for hanging out with me, see you soon!

Fall Mini Portrait Sessions by Tracy Autem of Lightly Photography

I am SO excited about portraits this FALL!!!!  Last year I was on maternity leave with Gideon so I completely missed this busy portrait season.  Since I had an entire extra year to think about how much I love doing them and where I wanted to photograph my mini sessions I have a great line up.  It is making me think about my own families yearly photo and what on earth I will select for our holiday card.  We have a whole new line of cards this year I am in love with so I am not sure how I will choose.  In case your new, Lightly Photography is my portrait line and of course fabulous team of associate wedding photographers.

This year we will be offering Fall Mini Sessions on select Saturdays and weekdays.  Available weekend dates are October 6th & 27th or November 17th.  October sessions will be photographed in Fort Worth near our studio and you may choose from rustic urban, bright urban or field/nature.  November 17th will be at Penn Farms at Cedar Hill State Park.  The farm has vintage barns, open fields, dirt roads and fence lines as well as beautiful trees.  Please note there is an additional cost for admission to the Farms, individuals over 12 are $7 each.  (The Farms rock and I may very well be doing my own family here this year.)

For more information or to check availability for dates and times call us at 817.810.9282 or email me at [email protected]

Ashlyn & Ben – Engagement Portraits in Fort Worth at the Stockyards, fields & urban locations

Ashlyn and Ben were super cute and the perfect end to a great week before I headed out for vacation.  Making their session even more adorable we were joined by their 2 children, Ashlyn’s dog and Ben’s puppy.  Ben made it very clear that Buddy was his dog and I must say that he may have been the best behaved 6 week old I have ever photographed.  Ashlyn’s Mom joined us as puppy wrangler then headed off to water and feed them so that the three of us could explore.  We love the doggie helping Mom’s, without them it would be next to impossible to have our best friends in photos.  Ashlyn and Ben made me laugh allot and I am so glad I finally got to meet them as they have been living out of state before recently moving down to Austin.  Ben cracked me up with some of his posing and silly faces BUT I swooned over their sweetness and Ashlyn’s killer eyes.  She has the kind we all wish for with the dark rings around the edges, they are two toned and AH-Mazing.  I will see you two again soon in September for your wedding at First United Methodist and Fort Worth Club!

Sarah & Brian {Engaged Part 2} Destination engagement photography in Tucson, Arizona

Tuscon Engagement Dallas Fort Worth Wedding Photographer 4th Avenue Arts District DogsWe really had one action packed day and for the second part of Sarah & Brian’s engagement shoot in Tucson we hit up some elevation. It was interesting to drive up the mountain and to see the changes from dessert to evergreen forest. Up in top of mount Lemon we rode the ski lift, took in the views and took some photos of course. As a Texas girl I have to say it was cool to have a different environment to shoot in and even better that two could be found so close. At Brian’s request we also ran into a skating rink really quck for some photos, his smooth talking got us in for free and no charge on skate rental for the last 10 minutes they were open. After a rare storm the sunset was to die for so our last adventure took us out into the dessert. The sky was filled with pinks and oranges.

See you two later this fall for Sarah’s bridal portraits!

Sarah & Brian {Engaged Part 1} Destination Photography in Tucson, Arizona

I had such a fabulous time in Tucson last weekend with Sarah & Brian.  This couple lives in Tucson and I can’t wait to travel back next year for the wedding!  Sarah is an Arkansas native but lived in Texas for a few years and we became fast friends.  Life moved her on to Arizona where she met Brian who is a Tucson native and when he asked her to marry him while on a trip to Italy earlier this year Sarah thought of me for their wedding.  I am so glad she did as it was great to catch up with her after years of not seeing each other and Brian is a treat.  So many of my couples express that they are nervous and scared about photos, most warm up real quick and Brian was a good example.  By the end of the weekend Brian had thrown in his own ideas and been up for almost anything (he is my kinda guy, Sarah you did good!)  Destination shoots are special in that the two hour, two outfit rules do not apply and we mostly just have fun, hang out and explore.  Part 1 of their rocking session includes our early morning trip to 4th Avenue in Tucson (to avoid the afternoon heat) and our post rain shower walk with their fur babies:  Sadie, Jackson, Coda.  Can’t wait to share more later this week as we explored Mt. Lemon, invaded a skating rink for a quick few photos and enjoyed a dessert sunset.

Kimberly & Mark {Engaged} TCU Library and downtown Fort Worth

I adored this couple from the moment we met and Kimberly said that after meeting me no one else compared and she had to make it happen.  I am so glad she did and a big thanks to her Grandma for encouraging her to work with me because I just love this couple!  Kimberly and Mark are currently doing the long distance thing as she is in medical school in Houston and he is working up here but hopefully she will be up here for residency very soon.  I have a ton of couples that met through their time in school and this couple is no different, meeting at the TCU library.  When they told me that I knew it was the perfect place for some photos as well as around campus.  Kimberly brought along their two doggies as well dressed as a bride and groom!  Kim actually made the veil herself and the dogs were more obedient than my dog would ever be (thanks to our dog wrangling team! Amanda on my staff and Kim’s Mom, Grandma and little bro).  We finished up down town by the awesome flat iron building and a few spots by sun dance square that I love.

Can’t wait to see you guys again!

Krista & Marc Engaged!

Krista and Marc and their two little ones (pups) and I had some fun in Dallas the other day for their engagement session. We headed out to the park for some dog friendly photos before checking out Marc’s work (a golf course) and down town Dallas.

Their dogs cracked me up, especially Putter. She was to cute with her rotund and short little body jumping over things and being a cutie. Marc was a great sport even though I think he would have rather been relaxing on his day off. Here are some images from their session.
