Hayley & David – Engagement Photos at Winspear Opera House & Highland ParkDallas, Texas

Hayley and David will be getting married later this summer at White Sparrow Barn and I can’t wait for their elegant wedding!  These two are precious together!  They met at the University of Oklahoma 7 years ago and have built a strong relationship with each other and their families.  Family is important to these two – Hayley’s Dad came to our consultation a few weeks ago and I can not wait to see him react to his daughter in her wedding gown!  Dad might cry, I might cry and even David might cry when it’s his turn to see his bride!  I love that David knows family matters to his bride – so much so that he planned the perfect proposal.  Here is their engagement story in Hayley’s own words:

“David and I love wine (trader joes $2.00 bottles are at the top of the list). Because we both know absolutely nothing about wine we had been talking about going to a local winery for a weekend trip. Since Davids work schedule is crazy he suggested we just go to one local and see if we like it before spending the money to go somewhere like Napa.

Off we went, or so I thought to a vineyard in Athens, Texas.

My parents have a lake house at Cedar Creek Lake, 30-minutes away from Athens. When we pulled off towards the lake from the highway I did not really think anything of it. I was too busy researching wine information so we did not look silly at the tasting.

Then we pulled into my parents gate.. And I knew he was being weird but again, I did not know why.

As we approached the driveway and got out I saw flower petals scattered towards the entry of the house. With the help of my sweet family he had transformed the front of the house into a floral heaven. There, underneath an arch way, David dropped down on one knee and proposed.

Of course I said YES!

Once I said yes, my family jumped out and surprised me. We took lots of pics but, something was missing.. His family! When I asked he told me they were at the restaurant waiting for us.

Little did I know they were with all of our closest family and friends setting us a huge surprise engagement party.

It was PERFECT.”

I have a feeling that the perfect proposal is going to lead to the perfect wedding day and I am truly honored to be apart and can’t wait to capture all the laughter, tears, joy and love these two have.

Kaycee & Joseph – Engagement Session at White Rock Lake & SkylineDallas, Texas

A little while ago Joseph made a big move in his life – as he packed up his life in St Louis and moved to Texas he had no idea what God had in store for him.  Shopping for a new home in Texas brought him more than a place to hang his hat – it brought Kaycee into his life.  Kaycee is a realtor and as luck would have it – she was Joseph’s!  I love that life brought them together at a time when neither expected it but both needed it!  These two are adorable together – their joy and laughter are contagious when in each others arms.  God has truly put them together and I am unbelievably excited to be a part of their journey.  Congrats Kaycee & Joseph!!!

Jacqueline – Bridal Portraits at Dallas Meyerson Symphony CenterDallas, Texas

I have been dying to share this bridal portrait.  Jacqueline is so super sweet,  I just love spending time with her and her entire wedding day look was just stunning.  Jacqueline found her dress at Stanley Korshak and it was designed by Isabelle Armstrong.  I love the bold lace details, edging and fitted bodice.  It is light and airy and ever so intricate.  Her textured bouquet with anemone’s and pops of pink by Tami Winn brought in a bit of depth to her look.  I always love photographing at the Meyerson – the light bright and airy feel of this venue is a favorite and it’s modern clean lines were the perfect backdrop to Jacqueline’s dress.  Makeup and hair by Quynh Nguyen Yip.

Christine & Andrew – Engagement Photos at Dallas Arboretum & White Rock LakeDallas, Texas

Christine and Andrew are getting married TODAY!  That’s right – in just a few hours Andrew will be marrying Christine at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas.  We waited to photograph their engagement session until last week so I am excited to share some of their photos on their big day!

These two were introduced through mutual friends a few years ago and they hit it off!  They have built a great life in Dallas together with their Golden Doodle Layla.  I was so excited to spend time with them and I can’t wait to see how beautiful Christine looks today!  Happy Wedding day you two!

Amy & Bryce’s wedding reception at Union Station was stunning with a color palette of light blush pinks, whites, creams, golds and pops of rich blues.  It was elegant and regal and oh so perfect for this couple!  The moment Amy walked into see her reception space during her private reveal her jaw dropped – her vision truly came to life thanks to Chloe with Stylish Soiree!  Not only was this reception gorgeous but it was action packed and full of FUN!  As DJ Glenn Roush welcomed the guests and challenged them that this might be the best wedding they have ever attended – he was right!  From special dances to some pretty special dance moves this evening was exciting and perfect filled with foam glow sticks and lots of laughter.  Thank you so much Amy & Bryce for including us in your special day.  Congrats on your wedding and we pray that your life is full, happy and marriage strong!

Mary Katherine & Wes – Engagement Portrats at Dallas Arboretum & White Rock LakeDallas, Texas

Mary Katherine and Wes met at Texas Christian University in business class.  Wes caught her eye as he was giving a presentation and now, 7 years later, they are getting married this December.  After college these two and their dog Cash moved to Dallas.  We visited the Dallas Arboretum and the Lake for their engagement session.  They spend lots of time with their pup at White Rock Lake – Cash LOVES the lake!  He was such  good boy for us during their photo shoot.  In January Wesley popped the question on Mary Katherine’s birthday and I can’t wait to celebrate with them on New Years Eve Weekend!

Leigh – Bridal Portrait at The Dallas ArboretumDallas, Texas

Leigh is a gorgeous bride!  Her lace gown with a plunging back and neckline was amazing!  I am loving these new illusion styles that expose yet cover and make dresses so sensual yet sophisticated.  Leigh is a sweet girl and I loved hanging out with her and her Mom at the bridal session at The Dallas Arboretum.  Her veil added some drama and when paired with the light wind we had some perfect moments.  Her bouquet was loose and lush in whites and greens and the simplicity of the color palette complemented her overall look.

Britny – Bridal Portraits at Meyerson Symphony CenterDallas, Texas

Britny is a stunner – like I am super jealous of her flawless skin and gorgeous eyes!  Britny and Aman had a 2 day wedding event with a traditional Indian wedding followed by a more contemporary ceremony the next day.  Britny looked like a princess both days though and I love her Lace cap sleeved gown from Bliss Bridal with cathedral length veil.  Her hair, pulled to one side, just made her look feel like old hollywood and oh so glamourous.  Her bright and colorful bouquet had so much texture and reflected the fun and elegant vibe that her wedding had.  Tami Winn always knocks it out of the park on flowers!  For her bridals we selected the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas for its light bright and airy architecture with clean and modern lines.  Although a contemporary space it is elegant and classic and one of my very favorite places to photograph brides!  Even on a rainy day this place is heaven inside for light!

Caitlin & Jordan – Wedding Reception at the Dallas Petroleum ClubDallas, Texas

Caitlin & Jordan’s Dallas Petroleum Club wedding reception was fun filled and beautiful!  Caitlin knows what she likes and I could feel her aesthetic throughout her ballroom decor.  Her florist, Bryan Long, brought her vision to life with dripping flowers from the chandeliers and large scale topiaries mixed with lower lush pieces.  Along with candlelight, seating vignettes and lighting the space was warm, inviting and elegant.  From the first dance to the last dance these two were so fun to capture smile, laugh and dance with their family and friends.  Above for their private last dance I pulled them off the dance floor and into the  middle of their ballroom so we could not only capture their extreme cuteness but the feeling of the space they created.

Caitlin & Jordan – I love you guys.  Thanks for being so gracious, kind and friendly to me and my team.  You made us feel important and that connection led to lots of happy tears and smiles behind my camera.  Thanks for being the last of 2016 and setting the tone so well going into next year.  I know God has great things for you both!

Caitlin & Jordan – Wedding Ceremony at the Sky LobbyDallas, Texas

The Sky Lobby at Chase Tower in Dallas, Texas was the most perfect backdrop for this modern couple’s wedding ceremony.  Before heading upstairs to say I do we captured some romantic images in front of the venue.  Caitlin & Jordan’s day had so many beautiful locations that I have had to separate their wedding blogs into 4 posts so I could give each spot their own spotlight!  The Sky lobby has stunning views of Dallas and even after the sunset the room was big and spacious and elegant with the glimmer of downtown lights in the distance.  During their ceremony I loved watching their smiles, their parents and of course all the perfect little moments that made everyone laugh.  Such a special time!

Shout out to the vendor team who made this ceremony look so stunning:
