Nicole – Bridal Portrait at Dallas ArboretumDallas, Texas

Nicole was a gorgeous bride with a big heart, lovely smile and a happiness that is infectious.  Her wedding last year at the Adolphus was fun filled and I so loved getting to know her parents and Kyle’s family.  I always get the blues after weddings are over because I really build such a closeness with my brides that I want to have excuses to see them forever.  Today I am revisiting this lovely lady and sharing her bridal portraits.  Photographed last spring at the Dallas Arboretum.  Nicole found her dress at the Bridal Boutique of Lewisville and her flowers are by Fleurs & Events.  It was super HOT this day and she brought the best crew of ladies to help her out.  With cousins and bridesmaids at her side they brought mini fans to keep Nicole cool, carried things are cracked us al up.  A wedding is made special by the couple but it is furthered by those close to them that they choose to include – Nicole definitely has great people in her life and that mad her bridal session a day I will not forget!

Bethany & Tyler – Engagement Photos at Dallas Arboretum & White Rock LakeDallas, Texas

Tracy Autem 2015

Bethany & Tyler met in Dallas through mutual friends and they are already having BIG adventures together as they prepare for their June wedding next summer.  Bethany packed up her life here in Dallas and headed to North Carolina so that these two would not be apart while Tyler pursues his MBA.  I had such a great time getting to know Bethany & Tyler – they are super sweet and I can tell that this time in their life is so good for them.  While at school it is allowing them to have lots of quality time since Bethany is telecommuting to her job here in Texas.  I am so excited for all their future holds and their wedding next year.  Can’t wait!

Katie – Bridal Portraits at Dallas ArboretumDallas, TX

Tracy Autem 2015

This amazing and lovely lady is married!  One week ago today I watched her walk the aisle and say I do to her lovely now husband, Jason!  Their day was pretty magical and I will be sharing images from it soon enough but first – THIS!  Look at how radiant and happy she is!  Katie just exudes joy, happiness and laughter.  I think it would be hard to hold a conversation with her where a smile did take over your face.  She is infectious!  Her bridal session at the Dallas Arboretum was just awesome – I loved her dress and veil – they were made to make photographers happy. 🙂  Her sweet and simple white bouquet and poised undo brought all the attention to her.  Really, isn’t she lovely?  Congrats on ONE week of marriage Katie!

Abbey & Dustin – Dallas Arboretum & Old Red Courthouse Engagement Photos

Tracy Autem 2015

Right before Christmas on one fabulously warm day I spent some time with Abbey & Dustin at the Dallas Arboretum & downtown Dallas.  These two met working at the same law firm in Dallas.  Their paths were meant to cross!  They attended the University of Texas Austin together yet never met, after working for awhile though finally their paths crossed and they will be getting married in just a few months!  Can’t wait for their wedding at the Adolphus.

Britny & Aman – Engagement Photos at White Rock Lake and Dallas Arboretum

Tracy Autem 2015

This wedding has me on the edge of my seat – September can’t get here fast enough so I can celebrate for 2 days with this amazing couple.  Britny is the sister of one of my past brides and I have loved her ever since.  When she called to say she was getting married I was over the moon.  She is funny, bright and just a joy to be with.  I can see why Aman chased after her.  Aman is just as fun and a complete gentleman.  He is in love and is such a genuine and kind person.  When we first got to talking Britny told me how when they were first talking they would do some fishing down at the pond so we incorporated a little bit of fishing into their session for a nod at their story.  I loved this beautiful and warm quilt that Brit brought along – we pretended it was cold and snuggled up since it was a 70 degree kind of December day!  For a taste of a more formal look we also visited the Dallas Arboretum.  I will see you both in Sept for a traditional Indian ceremony and a full fledged american celebration and wedding!  It is going to be awesome!

Courtney & Miles – Engagement Portraits at Dallas Arboretum & White Rock Lake

Tracy Autem 2015

This session just makes me giggle and grin.  Courtney & Miles met in Dallas and currently live there with their puppy dog – Finley.  I had the privilege of taking these two to the Dallas Arboretum and being their tour guide as we took some stunning photos.  I can’t believe they have lived in the area so long and had never been!  It was the perfect backdrop through – a bit of nature and a touch of elegance to go with their night on the town outfit.  Courtney’s dress had the most fabulous sleeves with a  peek a boo checkered design.  Courtney works at an ad agency and Miles practices corporate law.  Although their lives may have them in Dallas today she is a Fort Worth girl through and through so their wedding will be at The Fort Worth Club next summer.  Finley – their Husky – joined us for a few photos at White Rock Lake (thanks to Courtney’s Mom for playing dog wrangler!)  We found this beautiful pocket of red and yellow autumn leaves and it was just amazing!  I love these guys and I am so looking forward to their wedding and working the fab team of Sarabeth Events!

Lindsey & Christian – Dallas Engagement Photos

Lindsey & Christian have known each other their entire lives almost, attending the same church growing up and probably playing together and being typical little kids they don’t even remember.  They have photos to prove it but until these two finished college and found themselves living back in the same area they never really “saw” each other.  When they did it was obviously God’s perfect timing because if you spend any time with these two you see how much they love one another and how they perfectly compliment one another.  Christian is an opera singer (I know, a very uncommon career path) and Lindsey is a lover of litle ones and teaches school.  To propose Christian took Lindsey on an across country adventure where they ended in New York where he proposed.  Love a guy with a plan!  For their engagement session we explored the Dallas Arboretum and then the Winspear Opera House and Myerson Symphony neighborhood.  We got some golden light and I got to know these two more.  Can’t wait for their wedding next summer!

Laura & Punkaj – An Intimate Week Day Wedding at The Dallas Arboretum

Laura and Punkaj were married on a beautiful Monday morning at The Dallas Arboretum.  I am so rarely privileged to take part of such a small and intimate ceremony and it was just refreshing to start my week with their wedding.  Surrounded by their close friends and a few family members these two exchanged vows on their dating anniversary.  Laura wore a gorgeous red sari adorned in gold and had henna on her hands and feet as a nod to her hubby’s culture.  I must say she looked stunning in red!  Thanks so much for including me in your day!

Elisabeth – Bridal Portraiture at The Dallas Arboretum

Well, Elisabeth is FINALLY married so I can share her super fabulous bridal portraits.  This girl had an amazing line up for her wedding day and you can see it in her bridals.  Her Pronovias Gown was found at Bliss Bridal and her white classic bouquet was provided by Deitra with Lush Couture Floral.  Hair and Makeup was put perfectly together by Halo Salon.  Her look was very Jane Austen in a romantic vintage way that makes my heart swoon.  It was hard to pick just a few to share as I had so many favorites!  Later this week check back for her Fort Worth Club Wedding planned and designed by Julie Eastman with Extraordinary Events.

Jordan & Jonathan – Engagement Photos in downtown Dallas and the Arboretum

Jordan & Jonathan are friends of one of my past couples so I was thrilled when they selected me to photograph their wedding.  For their engagement session we headed to Dallas where they live and he proposed.  Jonathan took Jordan to the Dallas Arboretum for one of their evening concerts and had planned to pop the question as soon as they arrived.  As they strolled the garden Jordan saw a spot that she thought would be so pretty at sunset so he decided they would come back later and then he would ask her to marry him.  As they strolled, had a drink and waited for the sunset Johnathan’s family went into panic mode as they thought he should have certainly had an answer by then.  Their worries were for nothing though as when he did finally ask she accepted.  I love this photo below in the spot where he proposed.  Can’t wait to share their wedding day with them next May.
