Allison & Allen – First Look and Romantic PortraitsOmni Hotel & Marty Leonard Chapel

Allison and Allen chose to see each other before their ceremony at Marty Leonard Chapel.  Allen awaited to turn and see his bride at The Omni Hotel in Fort Worth.  As he finally turned and saw Allison in her classically tailored and sleek gown you could see they were both so happy to be together.  They decided to read the letters they had written one another for the wedding day together before taking some romantic portraits on site and at the chapel.

Allison & Allen – Rehearsal Dinner & Tea CeremonyBird Cafe, Fort Worth

The night before Allison & Allen’s wedding at Marty Leonard Chapel and The Modern they were surrounded by friends and family for a rehearsal dinner and traditional tea ceremony at The Bird Cafe in Sundance Square.  During the Tea Ceremony the couple shared with their grandparents, parents and aunts & uncles ways that they have encouraged or inspired them in marriage and life.  It was so sweet to hear the things that Allison & Allen have learned living along side their wonderful families.  These two are truly loved and in the wisdom they shared it was evident that they have soaked up much from their elders.  At the end of the evening they welcomed all friends and family for welcome cocktails and we slipped away for a few quick rehearsal portraits on the square.

Leigh Anne & Andrew – Wedding at Bella Sera RanchPalestine, Texas

Leigh Anne & Andrew’s wedding day was FULL of emotion.  I can not even count the amount of times we cried happy tears behind our cameras!  Not only were we a tad emotional everyone else was too – this may be my most joyful tearful wedding ever!  When Leigh Anne and Andrew met he KNEW she was the one.  Not a doubt in his mind – he found a journal and wrote her a note – that if she was reading this then today was their wedding day.  In that journal he filled it with their story from dating to proposal and leading up to the wedding day.  On the wedding day she opened the journal as his gift to her.  It was so super sweet!!  This kind of thoughtfulness was woven through out the entire wedding day.

Leigh & Evan – Wedding First Look at FUMC CourtyardFort Worth, Texas

This first look had me crying!  When Evan walked out the door to see his bride, Leigh, he was all smiles and they immediately embraced.  First looks are the best!  They shared sweet moments together and Leigh showed off her stunning illusion back dress before they exchanged gifts.  Evan gave her a beautiful jewelry box so that over the years to come she can keep all the future gifts he might give her safe.  Leigh had been writing notes to him in a  journal for 2 years!  That book along with some stunning cuff links were her gift to him.  We also took advantage of the gorgeous architecture around the church and photographed these two alone.

Leigh & Evan – Wedding Ceremony at First United Methodist DowntownFort Worth, Texas

This day was so beautiful and full of tons of emotional moments.  As we arrived at the club the ladies were playing games and the guys were enjoying the newly renovated bar area at the Fort Worth Club on the 11th floor.  As Leigh was helped into her gown by her Mom and sister and bridesmaids and house party eagerly awaited the reveal of her gown…when she came out everyone squealed and clapped!  Leigh was surely stunning in her gown with an illusion back, lace detailing and plunging illusion neckline.  This dress was made for her!!!  The drama didn’t stop with that reveal – it was the first of THREE!  Next up Dad was just smiling and happy to see his gorgeous daughter.  (to see her First Look with Evan, the groom, check out the blog post dedicated to it.)  Leigh and Evan had prepared the most thoughtful gift for her parents – a weekend getaway after all the stress and planning of a wedding!  Mom was shocked and I was totally crying!

At ceremony time as the doors opened and everyone stood for Leigh to enter the church, Evan was flooded with emotion.  First look’s are special but they don’t take away from that special moment.  When he saw his bride arm in arm with her Dad he cried!  It was precious!  Watching these two from the balcony I had the best view in the house as they whispered to each other and smiled during their vows.  Then – they were married!  Congrats Leigh and Evan and I can’t wait to share your killer party pics!

Jacy & Sam – Wedding Reception at The Tribute Golf ClubThe Colony, Texas

Look at that yummy golden hour light!  Could I ask for more?  I think not!  After Jacy and Sam said I do we pretty much had the most perfect sunset light to explore a little bit around the Tribute’s golf course.  The course views and the sliver of the lake in the background paired with these two made for a very happy photographer – this girl!!!  Sam is so sweet to Jacy and since I hadn’t met him until the wedding day this was my first opportunity to see them together.  As the sun finally set it was time to party though and we headed in for a night of dinner, dancing and allot of partying! Jacy and Sam hit the dance floor and spent quality time catching up with their friends, laughing and mingling with guests.  I loved their bubble gun exit – SOOO many bubbles!!!!

Huge thank you to all the vendors who helped make this day so perfect for Jacy, Sam and their families:

Jacy & Sam – Wedding Ceremony at The Tribute Golf ClubThe Colony, Texas

Jacy & Sam have made their home in Denver but came back to Texas for their wedding.  these two have been together 8 years and have known each other since they were teenagers.  I had the chance to meet Jacy in January when we photographed her bridal portraits  but the wedding day was the first opportunity I had to meet Sam.  I had a great time getting to know them both and seeing them together.

For their wedding we spent the day at The Tribute in The Colony where they did everything from getting ready to ceremony and reception.  As the ladies prepared for the big day we laughed allot and had so many precious moments.  Jacy wore her Mom’s earring from her wedding day and it was so sweet to watch Momma as Jacy put them on.  I love it when brides are able to include heirloom items into their day.  Jacy’s Grandma brought her a special gift – a family cookbook – that brought her to tears over this sweet and sentimental gift.  Sam and his guys relaxed, had some beers and took in the sights of the golf course from their balcony view.

The ceremony took place in the ballroom that was then “flipped” for the wedding reception while guests mingled during cocktail hour on the third floor veranda.

Abbey & Andrew – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, Texas

When you put a gorgeous couple at the Ashton Depot you really can’t go wrong and this night was amazing.  The team with Out of the Garden filled the space with beautiful tall centerpieces that had so much texture and interesting shapes.  The room was color washed and the ceiling had a patterned gobo to really make the depot look full and vibrant!  As the guests arrived they enjoyed cocktails on the tented patio with passed appetizers  and lounge furniture.

As the band announced the bridal party the anticipation built and when the Mr. & Mrs. where finally called into the room everyone stood and applauded as they took to the dance floor for their first dance.  Abbey and Andrew could not have been smiling bigger as they held each other close and Andrew spinned and dipped his new wife!  We jumped right into dances with Mom and Dad before settling into a fabulous dinner by The Ashton Depot.  During toasts everyone laughed at the silly stories and sweet words of their bridal party and Abbey’s Dad.  I love watching the parents during toasts and I captured Abbey’s parents being oh so sweet to one another.  🙂

Then it was PARTY time!  Drinks in the air, jumping and dancing and cutting up on the dance floor!  The Downtown Fever Band led everyone on night that was jam packed with fun.  I am sure many feet were aching when it was time to depart.  As guests lit sparklers Abbey & Andrew enjoyed a private last dance.  One last moment in their wedding reception before dashing off to their vintage limo.

I am lucky to have such gorgeous and kind clients and even more so that they select such great vendors to work along side:

Abbey & Andrew – Wedding Ceremony at University BaptistFort Worth, Texas

I just LOVE Abbey and Andrew – from a chance meeting in Texas to moving across country and finding love these two were drawn to one another.  Their lives were orchestrated so that they just had to be together and when you are with them you know it is GOOD.

We met up at the Renaissance Worthington to capture these two get ready for their big day along side there friends and family.  It was rainy outside but inside everyone was having fun, laughing and making toasts to all the goodness that was this wedding day.  Abbey had her Mom help her into her gown upstairs while her bridesmaids dressed and anxiously awaited the BIG reveal.  But, before she went downstairs Daddy came up to see his daughter all dressed in white.  He brought her a bracelet and they hugged it out and made this photographer totally get teary!  (I love Daddy Daughter moments!!!)  Then as she walked downstairs those bridesmaids squealed and smiled to see their friend looking SO beautiful!  The guys toasted some whiskey and Andrew chatted with his Grandpa as he prepped to see his bride.

At the church it was go time and you could see how anxious Andrew was for those doors to open, when it did he was all smiles and tight lipped holding back those tears – Abbey was breathtaking!  Through out the ceremony we had laughter, smiles and sweet glances.  It was perfection.  Their minister, a family member, was awesome and made everything about the ceremony so personal and deep.

After these two were officially wed, God gave us a beautiful gift and stopped the  misty rain just long enough for us to steal 3 minutes outside before family portraits began.  This California couple hoped for sunshine days but at least we got a moment without the rainy skies.
