Lacy & Gabe are so into each other and are definitely a perfect match.  The romantics are one of my favorite parts of every wedding day as it is the time for the couple to pull away from the festivities and spend some time together getting close and cuddly.  The locations at the Hopkins County Museum and Heritage Park were fabulous from open field, cool old buildings and even a water wheel!  After they kissed and talked and had some time we headed to the Trey-Deuce Domino Saloon for their wedding reception.  We made it in time for the sunset so we hit the field out back for a few shots just as the sun was hitting the horizon.  Meet the beautiful couple: Lacy & Gabe Stout!

I shared this image off the back of my camera via my iphone from the wedding, yep, I loved it that much. Here is the real deal artistically edited and so pretty!

These cute letters hung from the church doors and we snagged them for a cute and fun photo.

Lacy's Mom told me how much she liked the water wheel so I knew it was a must do location and what do you know, I loved it too!

If you know me then you might have figured out that I am fond of lists.  I write them all the time for everything from tasks at work to grocery lists.  I like them so much that sometimes I will do a task then realize it wasn’t on the list.  Then I write it down and scratch it off.  It just feels good to have a set goal and accomplish it.

Almost 2 years ago I did a business work shop by Liana Lehman and in it she challenged us to write a list of goals.  I am happy to say that I have completed so much of it and this week she posted on her blog a new list, 101 things to accomplish in 1001 days.   Now this sounded right up my alley so I dived in and started my list.  Today is day 1 of my 1001 days and I have already started a few of these things but to keep me accountable I am sharing it here with my friends and clients. This is a part of a project called Day Zero and you can read more about it and start your own list. I will try to post along the way about some of my adventures in randomness and other things.

Married!

Lacy & Gabe were married last Saturday out in East Texas in Sulphur Springs.  I had so much fun at this country wedding and I just adore this couple.  This week I am trying something new with my wedding post and splitting it up into two.  This post will focus on the moments and the details and part two will be all about the couple.  This is how the day is split up to me and so I thought why not post it that way!  I love capturing the things that happens, anticipating the moment and getting the reaction.  These photos tell the story of the day and speak to the emotion of the special people at the wedding.  Details are all about the things that express the couple and the things that they spent so much time thinking about leading up to the wedding.

Lacy and her girls prepped at a amazing home that her friends parents own.  It looked like an old barn and was filled to the brim with eclectic antiques and decor that made my head spin, in a good way.  I wish we had more time there to take advantage of it but the locations all day were killer and did not disappoint.  The wedding was held at the Hopkins County Museum and Heritage Park. The ceremony was in a quaint little chapel and the rest of the park…WOW!  So many little vignettes (that is photographer speak for locations) that you will see more of in their romantics post.  Then we trekked further east into the country for a honky tonk reception in Mount Vernon at the Trey-Deuce Domino Saloon complete with a good ol country band.  Everyone was so relaxed and chill, Gabe even changed into something a tad more comfortable than his tux and donned his jeans and boots.  It was such an amazing day and I am so lucky to have been a part of it.

Ruth and Andrew are getting married in about a month at a new venue right down the street from my studio, 809 Vickery.  We hung out last week as I got to know Andrew and Ruth better and took some fun photos of them about town.  Ruth’s only request was to go to the big silver man statue in down town and we were in luck as the park just re-opened this month after undergoing a major remodel.  We played there and hit some of my favorite spots around Fort Worth.  These two have amazing personalities and are awesome people.  Andrew is a pastor of a local church, Deliverance Bible Church of Fort Worth and I just adore these two and their passion for the Lord.  Can’t wait for their wedding in July, here are some photos from their Fort Worth engagement shoot.
